Some days I feel as if...

this house is never going to really happen. We are still waiting on our updated plans to give to the basement sub and the roofer. And I'm getting really tired of sharing my bedroom with a 15 month old! He is the worst sleeper of all of out babies and I think it is because he wakes and sees us. ( today began at 4:30, though we usually get up at 5:30 or 6:00) We are blessed to have a very large master bedroom so his whole nursery fits with plenty of room for us too. But I am starting to consider moving Clark and Bella Ruth into a room together so Will Henry can move into his own room. The problem with this is that Bella Ruth is a night owl and Clark gets up early. So I could possibly have two tired kiddos! Help!!! Does anyone have any ideas?

***** update****** Our revised houseplans arrived in our inbox at 8:30 am!! I think that the man upstairs knows this Mama needs a break! :)

Wood Floors and Paint Colors

Ok ladies, I need some input here. Do any of you have a paint color that you just can't live without? What about a flooring? What I am planning right now is Benjamin Moore Delicate White and Creamy White throughout the first floor. I also like the tinted whites for bedrooms and bathrooms. I am planning hardwood floors everywhere with the exception of all bathrooms, laundry room, walk-in pantry, mudroom and back hall. Also the basement with a media room and playroom will have a different flooring than hardwood. For the bathrooms and other upstairs areas I'm considering hexagonal terra-cotta pavers. What do you think??

Kitchen Solved

Thanks to all of you who emailed me or commented on my kitchen problem. Kim, I just love your kitchen and it really helped to actually "see" a solution. I have decided to place my sink in front of the window and the stove on an adjoining wall.
Bids are coming in and we hope to break ground in September. In some ways it seems like a long time, but some days it seems like tomorrow.
I'm starting to pick out flooring (wood and stone) and some paint colors. I LOVE dark wood but I'm scared of the upkeep. Does anyone have dark wood out there? Please tell me about your experience.
