A trip to the Farmer's Market

This morning Will Henry and I took a bike ride to our Farmer's Market. It was held at a little park in the center of our town and there were about 12 vendors present. We bought some homemade bread, red tomatoes, green tomatoes, peppers, blueberries and blueberry jam. We have already sampled the blueberries and some of the bread and both were delicious. In fact, I had to buy another mini carrot loaf before we even left the market because Will Henry had already eaten the whole loaf. We can't wait to visit again! :)

Good-Bye Miss Andrea

When I moved to my small town I never expected to find a teacher as progressive as Miss Andrea. She is one of the only preschool teachers in our area that believes in free play and yoga. She nurtures not only the students, but the Mommies too. I feel very fortunate that Clark was in her class for two years and Bella Ruth had her for one year. I feel sad that Will Henry will never get to experience the wonderful teacher that she is. We will miss you!!!

An American Girl Party and Movie

Bella Ruth had the neat opportunity to attend an American Girl Tea at our church at the beginning of the Summer. She doesn't have an American Girl doll with hair yet so we improvised with a Kelly's Kids doll. ;)

Then when we were in OKC we were able to see the Kit Kittredge movie and she was beyond excited!! This time she "babysat" our sweet neighbors' Kit doll (thanks Laurel) and boy did she and Clark enjoy the movie. It was sooo cute! Jojo and I loved it too. It's funny, Kit has been my favorite American girl doll since I can remember. And I had always thought that when Bella Ruth turned five she would be old enough for her first American Girl with hair, and of course it has to be Kit with her blond hair and freckles. What perfect timing for us!!
